On Thursday, October 3rd, Alliance/AFT hosted candidates running for office in the November 5th general election. Each one had the opportunity to meet with our members. And they spoke about their campaigns and public education. Attending the event were incumbents Rep. Rafael Anchia, Rep. Ana Maria Ramos, and Commissioner Theresa Daniels. Candidates Averie Bishop, Aicha Davis, Cassandra Hernandez, and Elizabeth Ginsberg were there. Some do not serve within the Dallas ISD boundaries, yet their elections are important and have educational value. The seats they’re seeking are important to flip for the fight against the voucher push which we all know is a goal of the governor. Many thanks to everyone that came!
