We fight to thrive by creating respectful working conditions with more planning time, fewer added duties and extra paperwork, resources to prevent burnout before it starts, and a defined workday that doesn’t require us to sacrifice our personal lives for our jobs.
Share My Lesson is a community of teachers, school-related personnel, higher education faculty, and parents who contribute content, collaborate, and stay up to date on the issues that matter to students and educators everywhere.
Texas AFT’s Bridges Institute for Professional Development provides a wide variety of high-quality professional development and special programs. We serve members of Texas AFT and our public education community at large.

Hopkins, who has taught science at Harold C. Kaffie Middle School in Corpus Christi ISD since 2007, was named as one of six finalists for the Texas Association of School Administrators’ 2024 Texas Teacher of the Year award.
Rebekah Ozuna, Education Austin
Rebekah Ozuna spent the last three years using grant funding to build foundations for student mental health, educator well-being, and Culturally Responsive Restorative Practices in three Austin ISD schools.
Mark Antley, Alief AFTSE
Mark Antley’s presentation — “How to Conduct a Local Ecological Survey with Your Science Class as a Field Investigation” — has been accepted for the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching this November.
